Rocks in A Box

My Michigan rocks came today! I love the fact that my rocks have traveled to San Francisco and on to Atlanta from Lake Michigan. They will find a lovely spot in my labyrinth. Thank you Lauryn!

Food for Thought

Dinner alone
Dinner tonight reminds me of my dinners in college. The nuggets are veggie protein instead of processed chicken. The instant mashed potatoes have been replaced with frozen sweet potato fries. I've added a fresh salad where I would have had another frozen veggie. The reading material is now purely for pleasure instead of for class tomorrow. A glass of homemade, sweet ice tea is the final touch that brings the memories of my southern roots swirling about in my apartment on this cold, foggy night.

Speaking Truth?

This evening I listened to factions within my spiritual home debate their positions. "Speaking their truth" someone called it. It left me exhausted and sad that there is so much division and strife within the church community. I don't like conflict, yet I know it is inevitable. I feel like an outsider.

Anchored

The huge tree commanded attention by pointing its limbs.

Spots of Forgetfulness

Spotted stone that didn't get mailed
Went to mail the stones from Lake Superior today and when I walked out of the post office I noticed that my bag was still a little bit heavy. Looks like I missed one. I've decided to keep it in my Mondo Beyondo space until I get a chance to go walk the labyrinth myself.

Day Trip

The old train depot sits by the worn railroad tracks expectantly awaiting its visitors.

Travel Note

When going through airport security, remove all large rocks from carry-on bags before sending them through the x-ray machine. Saves you from going through a bag check and explaining that your mother collects rocks for her labyrinth.
