Tree on the walk by Mission Bay around late afternoon

After almost three years, I'm still surprised when I run into people I know while out and about in this city by the bay. Today I saw a former co-worker waving hello as she rode by on her bicycle and ran into a former volunteer who worked at the cafe where we got brunch. I don't know if this place will ever feel like "home," but it's nice to be reminded of the connections I have made.
